Norflava Designs LLC operates the Tessellata mobile application and the website http://norflavadesigns.com, which provide the Tessellata game service (referred to as the “Service”). This page is used to inform website visitors and app users regarding our policies with the collection, use, and disclosure of Personal Information if anyone decides to use our Service.
If you choose to use our Service, then you agree to the collection and use of information in relation to this policy. The Personal Information that we collect is used for providing and improving the Service. We will not use or share your information with anyone except as described in this Privacy Policy.
Information Collection and Use
For a better experience while using our Service, we may require you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information, including but not limited to:
Usernames: Used to identify you on leaderboards, in matchmaking lobbies, and during online multiplayer games.
Email Addresses: Used to authenticate your account, recover game progress, and synchronize statistics across multiple devices.
Third-Party Authentication IDs: Unique identifiers provided by Google Sign-In and Apple Sign-In when choosing to authenticate through their respective services.
Discord User Details: If you choose to link your Discord profile, we collect your public Discord ID and Username to handle game webhook tagging and profile validation.
The information we collect is stored securely using Google Firebase and is used to identify you and provide core gameplay functionality, leaderboards, and progress synchronization.
Comments and Media
When visitors leave comments on our website, we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection. An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.
If you upload images to the website, or share match screen captures through our Discord Webhook integration, please be aware that location data (EXIF GPS) embedded in images may be readable. Visitors to the website or Discord channels can download and extract location data from images shared online.
Cookies and Local Device Storage
Cookies are files with a small amount of data that are commonly used as anonymous unique identifiers. These are sent to your browser from the website that you visit and are stored on your computer’s hard drive.
On our website, cookies are used to collect information and improve our Service. You have the option to either accept or refuse these cookies, and to know when a cookie is being sent to your computer. If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies for your convenience. These cookies will last for one year.
In our mobile application, we use local device storage (specifically React Native AsyncStorage) which acts similarly to cookies. This data is stored locally on your device’s internal storage and is used to:
Save your volume preferences (SFX and background music configurations).
Cache your local match history for offline viewing.
Keep you logged into your profile.
Track your equipped titles, tile skins, and gameplay cosmetics.
You can clear this local data at any time by uninstalling the application or clearing the application’s storage in your device settings; however, doing so may reset your offline progress if you have not registered a synchronized email account.
Embedded content from other websites
Articles on this site and pages of our Service may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.) or redirect you to external pages (like the Discord OAuth2 authentication window). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.
Service Providers and Data Sharing
We employ third-party companies and tools to facilitate our Service, to provide the Service on our behalf, to perform Service-related services, or to assist us in analyzing how our Service is used. The primary third-party service providers utilized by Tessellata are:
Google Firebase: Used for backend hosting, real-time database management, user authentication, and profile data storage.
Discord API: Used to process profile linking and post match board captures and scorecards directly to Discord servers when explicitly initiated by the user.
Apple Inc. (Apple Sign-In): Used to authenticate users on iOS devices.
Google LLC (Google Sign-In): Used to authenticate users on Android and iOS devices.
We want to inform our users that these third parties have access to your Personal Information to perform the tasks assigned to them on our behalf. However, they are obligated not to disclose or use the information for any other purpose. Additionally, if you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email.
How long we retain your data
We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with the Service. If you leave a website comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users that register on our website or mobile app, we store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username).
Account Deletion and What rights you have over your data
If you have an account on this site, or use the Tessellata mobile app, you have full control over your personal data:
In-App Deletion: You can delete your account and all associated profile data at any time from within the app by navigating to Settings > Delete Account.
Manual Erasure: You can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, or request that we erase any personal data we hold. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
Upon deleting your account, your registered username, email address, linked social profiles (Apple, Google, Discord UIDs), ELO/MMR ratings, and progress metrics (wins, losses, streaks) will be permanently deleted from our active databases. Anonymized multiplayer match logs may remain in our historical records solely to preserve the integrity of other players’ match histories.
Security
We value your trust in providing us your Personal Information, thus we are striving to use commercially acceptable means of protecting it. But remember that no method of transmission over the internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure and reliable, and we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
Children’s Privacy
Our Services do not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal identifiable information from children under 13. In the case we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we immediately delete this from our servers. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so that we will be able to do necessary actions.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Thus, we advise you to review this page periodically for any changes. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page. These changes are effective immediately, after they are posted on this page.
